Dinner of Champions

Well I managed again to make another dinner for champions last night. Yeah right! I struggle the most when my hubby isn't home, so no pressure to make dinner, which is good for me, but bad for the kids. I need more kid friendly and HEALTHY ideas! Please please let me know if you have any! My kids are begging you as well! :)

While I was cooking our pancakes and cutting our raw veggies, Jacob was next to me "helping." We all know what kind of help that means coming from a 21 month old. I just couldn't help but snap the "Many Faces of Jacob" while we were cooking! This little boy is the silliest thing I have ever seen.

How special you must feel!

How special you must feel, why you ask.... two posts in one day!
I am even making myself feel a little special! :)

Do you remember several post ago, maybe it was the end of july or the beginning of Aug, the sneak peak into fabric combo's for the fall? Well here is the first completed outfit!
I partnered up with Bows for a Princess on this ensemble. Yeah I know what you are all thinking, don't you make bows? Sure do, but not as multi-layered as she does! She is a phenomenal bow maker! It was great working with her on this effort.

I will be listing this jumper on etsy very soon! Keep your eyes peeled for this one!
(Also makes a GREAT twirl dress, always a plus for little girls!)
The jumper comes with the little ladybug purse. It has pink ever-so-soft minky inside. I got the ladybug pattern from Sew Spoiled. She has lots of great easy to read patterns! Check out her store on etsy!
My mom has also been crocheting hats for little ones and crocheted one to coordinate with this outfit. I don't have a picture just yet, but it will soon happen, when she mails me the hat. Maybe she will read this post and get it in the mail tomorrow :)

Ikea and fabric?

I came across the fact that Ikea sells fabric today! What!!!! Why didn't anyone tell me about this! They have some really modern but very cute stuff! Ideas are flowing in so much I can't keep up with them! I really have to go check out this store! I have now run across 2 friends who have showed me stuff they have purchased from Ikea and priced GREAT!!! I don't know why I haven't added this place to my must see, but believe me its on now!

Morning at the park

Ashley, Jacob, and I met some ladies and other kids at a nearby park this morning. I took the camera of course and got some really cute shots of a few of the kiddos playing. Take a look!
(Jacob was working this little cutie for her bag of cheerios. He started off on the other side of the wall then after a few minutes was right next to her. She just kept saying "hi" to him.)

This last picture is how we ended up leaving a little earlier then everyone else. Enough said!

More internet finds...

This find of today seems to be a little more practical and useful on an everyday basis then the unusual find of yesterday. Here it is: http://www.lobotome.com/

They have many more note pads then this one, but I can relate to it, probably b/c it says "Welcome to the Nut house," which describes my household to a T, including me!

I really love the note pads, paper calendars, checklist, etc. even though I rarely use them on a daily basis. (Probably the same kind of love I have for magazines, do I read all the articles, rarely, but love to flip through them over and over again. Maybe it's all the pretty pictures and use of colors, yes I am still a child at heart!) I am a pencil and paper lover, I know I shouldn't be. I do love the ease of a computer but find myself very often going back to the paper and pencil world. I should watch my back for saying that now-a-days since we are in a time of think green!

Diva Cup

Okay ladies especially, this blog entry has nothing to do with something I created or my kids, but just a girl inquiry! I came across this today: http://www.divacup.com/

Have any of you ever heard of this or might even use this? I know that I live in a small cave called stay at home mom but good grief, how could I have not heard or seen this before. It sounds wild yet quite interesting at the same time. Apparently it has been around for 15 years and I have never heard it, ever, anywhere, or at any time, from my mom, friends, etc...no one! Did I mention I have never heard of this before?

I just might have to try this, MIGHT!

Ashley is so easy

There is something about Ashley that is just so easy to photograph compared to her older sister and younger brother. I think it's because she isn't moving as fast as they do! She pauses for the little things in life.

Then this is what I get her from her older sister! ha, just gotta love Rachel!

New apron for the little girls

Here is another apron I made this week. I used a Japanese fabric called sweet farm with this one. I think it turned out really cute!!! It's for sale in my etsy shop if you are interested.
