October Challenge "Textures"

Oooo my first photography challenge! I'm excited! This challenge comes from CDWorkshop to add texture to a photo. Below is what I came up with! Enjoy!

Here is the original photo, which I find very mysterious or maybe she found me mysterious hiding behind the camera the whole time. :)

Then here the photo with the added texture. Even more mysterious!

Blog you gotta bookmark

Morning all! I have a blog you gotta bookmark or sign up for the auto-email.
It is www.babybargainblog.blogspot.com.
Yeah, yeah it is my best friend, BUT it really is a site worth looking at daily. She is the BARGAIN QUEEN!!!!! Especially now when we are all penny crunching, she has great information on things we use very often and places we go very often, ie Target, Walgreens, when Shutterfly, Snapfish, etc are having picture sales. The chick knows it all!!!!!
If you have a special request, just ask her and she can search it out for you!
Or if you even know of a great bargain others would be interested in, let her know so she can spread the word!!!!
So go go go check her out, Baby Bargain Blog! You will not be disappointed! Promise!

(To put a face with who we are, I'm on the left and she is on the right. This is from my birthday a few months ago, when I turned a young 30 and yes I had the BIGGEST piece of cake I could get away with in front of people.)

It's that time of year again!

Yep it is that time of year again, CHRISTMAS!!!! I got my fabric in today and just LOVE it! I think I have a small fetish for fabric, very small though. :) I have many ideas running around in my head. I hope to get them all organized by the end of next week, then made by the end of the following week. We shall see if I can stay on schedule!

Maybe I should just say before the end of the month.

Generations!

I had the privilege of shooting a family's generation photos on Sat. I felt very honored to be a part of these photos. The little one took a while to warm up to me. The mother said she was so excited to come to get her pictures taken, but was extremely shy when I popped my camera in her face. What on earth could make a little child feel that way with someone you don't know all in your "grill." :) jk
These 2 beautiful ladies are sisters. All I could think about was something my daughter asked me recently, "Will we be sisters forever or just for a little while?" Nope, sisters are FOREVER sweetheart!

This is when mom was warming her up. It worked like a charm. Mommy's really know what they are doing!

This little cutie was not liking me too much either. Mom or grandma would walk around with her and she would be so happy, but as soon as I came around with the camera in her face... she just wasnt having it! :) So I got a few shots when she wasn't paying attention to me!

She always kept an eye on me!

Here is my last sneak peak from this day! Thanks for letting me share this moment with you ladies! I enjoyed it!

Sunflower Days

I finally got pictures of Ashley in my other fall dress style. It took me longer to get the pictures taken then to make the dress this time!

With this dress set I teamed up with my mom. She crocheted the super cute sunflower hat! Doesn't it all look so cute together! It was a perfect match!

As far as the dress goes, I used more fabric from Sandi Henderson's Farmer's Market! The colors are so rich in the whole collection. It is really hard to resist buying more fabric from her! The dress and hat are for sale in my etsy shop. They are posted as a group buy, but if you are interested in one or the other, just ask me! My mom has been making many more styles and colors. If you want something specific, I am sure she can make you something to coordinate with your outfit! (I am speaking for her, like she does for me so often. I think that is what happens when you think so much alike!)
