I've been researching lenses lately...getting one for my b-day. I saw this one and fell in love! Little out of my price range though. Don't know much about Tamron lenses. Do you know if they're pretty good?
Tamron and Sigma are both good, especially if you can't afford a Canon or Nikon lens. They are made a little cheaper then the brand lens, hence why they are cheaper in cost. 2 places I would recommend to buy from or look at is amazon.com and bhphotovideo.com.
